Rodaina's engine is the wonderful people who built it. Our team is an ensemble of young, ambitious and passionate entrepreneurs, who work with unique professionalism and care in tackling the crucial task that we are tackling: promoting equal access to healthcare.
Dr. Yasmeen Abu Fraiha
Our Founder and Executive Director is a young doctor who could not turn a blind eye when she met the sick children of the Negev. Her pain and motivation led to the establishment of Rodaina, and to the beginning of our fight for the health of the Bedouin community. Nowadays, she is working as a resident in internal medicine in the Soroka Medical Center. Dr. Abu-Fraiha has founded and co-chaired the alumni organization of the Our Generation Speaks fellowship, for Israeli and Palestinian entrepreneurs, and also serves on the Board of Directors of Project Wadi Attir and Yanabia. She has won several awards - including the Ramon Award for Quality, Leadership, and Excellence - and was mentioned in prestigious lists such as Lady Globes "50 Exemplary Israeli Women" and Forbes "30 Under 30".
Our Associate Director is someone who knows how to move mountains and do unbelievable things, especially when it comes to healthcare. She holds a BA in International and Global studies from Brandeis University, and an MPH in Public Health and Health Promotion from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She worked for 6 years in the Israeli Ministry of Health as a National Health Promoter and Program Manager. Yonina also has vast experience in building intervention and prevention programs for underprivileged societies and has worked extensively with vulnerable populations in schools, community centers and youth groups around the works; this includes her STI/HIV/AIDS awareness and health promotion programs for local residents in Nepal and Ghana, as well as her work in 3 refugee camps in Haiti in the fields of health advocacy, post trauma, and education.
Our Community Manager is a superman with incredible social awareness. He holds a BA and MA in Special Education from Kaye Academic College for Education. Yossef has no comparison when it comes to working with people. He is a Bedouin serial social entrepreneur who founded the Bedouin branch of House of Wheels and managed it for 9 years. He is also the founder of Lana Organization for Empowerment of Bedouin Girls. Yossef is an alumnus of the Ben Gurion University's Directors Training Program and of Maoz's 'Makom' Program.
